SPE North Africa Technical Conference and Exhibition (NATC)

Held under the patronage of H.E. Sameh Fahmy, Minister of Petroleum, Egypt, the second NATC will be held at the InterContinental Citystars, Cairo and is supported by the most renowned oil and gas organisations in Egypt, including ECHEM, EGAS, EGPC, EMRA, GANOPE and EPA. 

Following the theme Energy Management in a Challenging Economy, NATC will be a platform to discuss and share knowledge, experiences, and current technical applications in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry that have relevance in today's economic conditions. NATC aims to be a unique experience for all attending by featuring not only the conference and exhibition but also field trips, a young professionals workshop, and social activities.

The programme will offer Panel Sessions discussing topics which include emerging industry partnership landscape, learning from economic cycles, deepwater E&P challenges, and gas value chain, as well as a Special Session highlighting deep drilling challenges.

Call for papers

The SPE North Africa Technical Conference and Exhibition (NATC) is now calling for papers!

The conference will take place 14-17 February 2010 at the InterContinental Cairo Citystars under the patronage of H.E Sameh Fahmy, Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources

The Programme Committee is now accepting paper proposals for NATC with its conference theme: "Energy Management in a Challenging Economy"

You are invited to participate by sending your paper proposals for an opportunity to get recognised in what is destined to become a landmark event in the region and also appreciate your valuable influence in encouraging paper submissions. The deadline to submit paper proposals is Wednesday, 30 June 2009.

     Egypt’s SPE Young Professionals section offers young O&G professionals the opportunities to share their knowledge and seek new avenues of professional and technical learning. All the tools to help you develop are here. By utilizing them, you do not only develop yourself but also ensure that we are all continuously improving as a community and growing into the roles that we must take to lead this industry into the future.

     If so, SPE’s Young Professional programs will help you. SPE offers you the opportunity to connect with practicing industry professionals; swap advice through the e-Mentoring and Ambassador Lecture Programs; and learn about the latest industry advances. You can even be nominated for awards, all by being an active SPE YP member.

 

Young Professionals Mission

• Encourage Young Professionals, 35 years old and younger, to become actively involved in SPE activities in order to give the "young" a voice within SPE.
• Promote young professionals within SPE, and SPE to young professionals. • Support young professionals’ career by assisting in, and developing, their personal and professional skills.
• Provide professional, personal and networking development opportunities to young professionals so they may challenge and lead the industry in a culture of mentorship.
